Kate Beckinsale is giving online critics a piece of her mind — and opening up about the health troubles that led to a recent hospitalization.
Beckinsale, who revealed in March that she underwent a hospital stay, shared a cheeky video of herself on Instagram Monday. The clip showed the actress modeling a pink, off-the-shoulder crop top and matching bikini bottom with a pair of black platform boots and a hairnet tied into a bow around her head.
The "Underworld" star, 50, said the provocative look was meant to take aim at her critics, who she said get "really upset" that she doesn't do "enough age-appropriate things."
"Let's have a toast for the (expletive) bags. Let's have a toast for the (expletive). Let's have a toast for the scumbags 😘😘😘😘," Beckinsale captioned the post.

While Beckinsale received a slew of positive comments from fans, the British actress was also criticized by some social media users for her thin appearance.
Kate Beckinsale says grief led to weight loss, hospitalization
One commenter on Beckinsale's post, user @k4tobin, advised her to "do some squats" because "(your butt) ran away."
Beckinsale responded to the critique of her physical appearance with an emotional revelation about her hospitalization.
"I watched my stepfather die quite shockingly, my mother has stage 4 cancer, and I lost a lot of weight from stress and grief quite quickly," Beckinsale wrote. "And then I was in (the) hospital for six weeks because the grief had burned a hole in my esophagus, which made me vomit copious amounts of blood, and I found eating very hard."

In January, Beckinsale announced the death of her stepfather, film and TV director Roy Battersby, on social media.
The "Fool's Paradise" star added that she recently completed work on a film that was "actually quite triggering because it also involved the theme of the death of my father."
"So, I'm not really concerned about what you think about my (butt)," Beckinsale concluded. "Maybe you should worry about your own."
Kate Beckinsale gives glimpse into health issues with hospital photos, graphic T-shirt
In a March 11 Instagram post, Beckinsale celebrated U.K. Mother's Day by sharing pictures and videos of her mother and dogs. She also shared photos of herself from a hospital bed.
At the time, the actress did not elaborate on when she was hospitalized and for what reason.
"Happy birthday and UK Mother's Day this last week to my incredible mother. Thank you to those that love us and support us when it's (expletive) and try to make sure there are some bits that aren't," Beckinsale wrote. "And for looking after our dogs when we can’t and lead us to remember happy things when we can’t. And turn up when we are sick and sit with us. And send balloons and check in and pull us out of wells with love."
One month later, Beckinsale shared photos of herself on Instagram wearing a graphic T-shirt that read "tummy troubles survivor."
The photos, which showed Beckinsale on a bed with her dog, set off speculation that her hospitalization may have been related to a stomach issue. In the caption, she posted emojis of a flexing arm and heart.
